I thought we should start a new thing - Member Reviews. Many of us travel, and visit breweries and brewpubs in other places, and I thought it would be cool to gather reviews of these places and post them here.

This is a very compact 7 barrel brewpub in an old 2 story building. Open to the roof inside, but with a ‘loft’ on one side providing extra space for tables. There is lots of open wood, heavy beams, etc. giving an almost medieval feel. They had 4 beers on tap - an American Wheat, a Pale Ale, an ESB, and a Porter. The food was ‘pub grub’, but with specials (I had a wonderful Duck breast with Brocolini).
They use all British pale malts (Munton) for their beers, and mostly British hops as well. Their Wheat was only 30% wheat, and had more flavor hops them I’m used to, and was quite good. The Pale Ale was also well done - a good example of a British version, with a nice, understated fruity caramel flavor and a wonderful hop nose. The ESB was more malt balanced, and had a distinct roast bite - it actually tasted more like a Scottish to me then an ESB, but was clean and drinkable. The Porter was well made, clean and roasty, but didn’t stand out.
